Woodworking: Building a Church Pulpit (Lectern / Podium)
Просмотров 47 тыс.2 месяца назад
My friend @peterbrownwastaken has a good buddy that pastors a church and that needed a new lectern...or pulpit... or podium (whatever you wanna call it!). In this video, I challenge myself to build a very traditional-style, and yet very fancy, pulpit for his church. This is quite possibly the nicest thing I've ever built in my shop. Woodworking: Making A Bench
Просмотров 70 тыс.4 месяца назад
To balance out the new bedroom furniture I've created in my previous videos, I really needed something for the foot of the bed. I designed a little bench that will definitely look perfect in that space but also be a great place for me to be able to sit down and put my shoes on in the mornings. I took some inspiration from some Japanese designs and incorporated a tusked mortise and tenon joint a...

    I'm a Carpenter from germany and i want to build a dart cabinet too! It's for a school projekt and i thought for the motto „put it on the wall“ would it be a great idea. Your video gave me some nice impressions of how i can design it, thank you for that! 👍🏼

    Why is DIY on thumbnail of video? This is not DIY thing because you need expensive and proffesional machines for this and a lot of experience. When I have all of that, then I don't need your video. Don't put DIY sign on videos for proffesionals.

      Did I make it myself? Yes. So it's DIY.

    Thanks. I may build this today 🙂 Also, be careful cross cutting your 2x4s with the end against the rip fence. Ant slight moves could create a violent/dangerous kickback 😬

  • @KTX666
    @KTX666 11 дней назад

    I was surprised to see that there wasn't a safety switch on the belt cover. I think that would have been the safer safety option than a guard that doesn't do anything other than get in the way, and a chuck key that are specifically designed to not do what a chuck key should do...
